Circular economy approaches in agriculture aim to replace the conventional linear system of resource extraction, production, consumption, and waste disposal with regenerative cycles in which materials, nutrients, water, and energy remain in productive use. Agricultural systems generate substantial quantities of crop residues, animal manure, food-processing waste, wastewater, discarded packaging, and other organic materials that can be recovered and transformed into valuable resources. Practices such as composting, anaerobic digestion, biochar production, nutrient recovery, residue incorporation, wastewater reuse, integrated crop–livestock farming, agroforestry, renewable-energy generation, precision agriculture, and industrial symbiosis can reduce waste while improving resource-use efficiency. These approaches return nutrients and organic carbon to soil, decrease dependence on synthetic fertilizers and fossil fuels, conserve water, lower greenhouse-gas emissions, and create additional income opportunities for farmers. Circular agriculture also supports soil restoration, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, rural employment, and sustainable food value chains. Nevertheless, adoption is constrained by fragmented supply chains, inadequate waste-collection systems, high processing costs, contamination risks, limited technical knowledge, uncertain markets for recycled products, and insufficient policy coordination. Effective circularity therefore requires scientifically sound resource-recovery technologies, supportive regulations, quality standards, financial incentives, farmer training, digital monitoring, public–private partnerships, and cooperation among farms, processing industries, municipalities, and consumers. Circular solutions must also be adapted to local ecological, economic, and social conditions to prevent the transfer of pollution from one stage to another. When responsibly implemented, circular economy principles can transform agriculture from a resource-intensive and waste-generating activity into a regenerative system that promotes sustainable resource management, food security, climate mitigation, and long-term rural prosperity.

The present study examines the relationship between work-life balance, occupational stress, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment among professionals working in public and private sectors. Work-life balance has become an important concern in modern organizations because employees are required to manage professional responsibilities along with family, personal, and social roles. Poor work-life balance may increase occupational stress, reduce job satisfaction, and weaken commitment toward the organization. The study explores how workload, role pressure, working hours, organizational support, flexibility, and work-family conflict influence employees’ psychological and professional outcomes. It also compares public and private sector professionals to understand variations in stress, satisfaction, and commitment across organizational settings. The study highlights that healthy work-life balance can reduce stress, enhance job satisfaction, and strengthen organizational commitment among professionals. The findings may be useful for developing employee-friendly policies, stress management practices, flexible work arrangements, and supportive organizational culture.

The rapid growth of electronic commerce has transformed global trade by enabling consumers to purchase goods and services through digital platforms with unprecedented convenience, accessibility, and efficiency. Advances in internet connectivity, mobile technologies, digital payment systems, artificial intelligence, and logistics networks have accelerated the expansion of online marketplaces, creating new opportunities for businesses and consumers alike. However, the increasing dependence on e-commerce has also generated significant legal and regulatory challenges concerning consumer rights, product quality, unfair trade practices, misleading advertisements, digital fraud, cybersecurity, privacy protection, cross-border transactions, dispute resolution, and platform accountability. Traditional consumer protection laws are often inadequate for addressing the complexities of digital transactions, requiring governments to modernize legal frameworks that safeguard consumers while encouraging innovation and economic growth. This study examines the emerging legal challenges associated with consumer protection in e-commerce transactions and analyzes the regulatory responses adopted by governments and international organizations to strengthen digital consumer rights. The study explores legal principles relating to transparency, informed consent, data privacy, cybersecurity, online contracts, product liability, electronic payments, digital marketplaces, artificial intelligence, and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR). It further evaluates the effectiveness of contemporary regulatory mechanisms in promoting consumer confidence, ensuring fair competition, preventing cyber fraud, and enhancing accountability among online businesses and digital platforms. The study concludes that comprehensive legislation, international cooperation, technological innovation, effective enforcement, and consumer awareness are essential for building a secure, transparent, and trustworthy digital marketplace capable of supporting sustainable growth in the global e-commerce ecosystem. The emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) has fundamentally transformed the creation, management, and commercialization of intellectual property (IP), presenting unprecedented legal and regulatory challenges. AI-powered systems are now capable of generating literary works, artistic creations, software programs, inventions, designs, music, and other forms of intellectual output with minimal human intervention. While these technological advancements have accelerated innovation and enhanced productivity across various sectors, they have also challenged the traditional principles of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), which are primarily based on human creativity, authorship, and inventorship. Existing legal frameworks often struggle to determine ownership, authorship, patent eligibility, copyright protection, liability for infringement, and the lawful use of copyrighted data in AI training processes. Furthermore, issues relating to trade secrets, trademark protection, algorithmic transparency, licensing, fair use, and cross-border enforcement have become increasingly significant in the global digital economy. This study examines the evolving relationship between AI, ML, and Intellectual Property Rights by analyzing the legal implications of AI-generated works, patentability of AI-assisted inventions, protection of training datasets, and emerging judicial and regulatory responses in major jurisdictions. It also evaluates the role of international organizations in promoting harmonized legal standards that balance technological innovation with the protection of creators' rights and public interest. The study concludes that modernizing intellectual property laws through adaptive, technology-neutral, and internationally coordinated legal frameworks is essential for fostering innovation, ensuring legal certainty, protecting human creativity, and supporting sustainable development in the rapidly evolving AI-driven digital ecosystem.

The study focuses on the impact of digital transformation on human resource management practices such as recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, employee engagement, attendance management, payroll, performance appraisal, and talent development. It also examines how digital HR practices influence employee performance by improving efficiency, communication, skill development, transparency, feedback, and productivity. Social entrepreneurship refers to entrepreneurial activities that aim not only to generate income but also to create positive social impact. Social entrepreneurs work to address issues such as poverty, unemployment, education gaps, healthcare access, women’s empowerment, environmental degradation, skill development, and social exclusion. The study focuses on how social entrepreneurship identifies local problems and develops sustainable solutions through innovation, community participation, resource mobilization, and inclusive business models. Unlike traditional entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship gives equal importance to social welfare and economic viability. It promotes self-reliance, livelihood generation, local leadership, and empowerment of marginalized communities. The study also examines the role of social entrepreneurship in sustainable socio-economic development. By supporting local employment, skill training, affordable services, eco-friendly practices, and community-based enterprises, social entrepreneurship strengthens both social justice and economic growth. It encourages people to become active participants in development rather than passive beneficiaries of welfare schemes. The study is significant because many community challenges cannot be solved by government action alone. Environmental conservation and sustainable development have become global priorities due to the increasing impacts of climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, and unsustainable resource consumption. Achieving long-term environmental sustainability requires not only effective government policies and technological innovations but also active public awareness, positive attitudes, and meaningful participation. The present study examines the level of public awareness regarding environmental conservation, evaluates societal attitudes toward sustainable development initiatives, and assesses the extent of community participation in environmental protection activities. It highlights the role of education, media, governmental campaigns, non-governmental organizations, and community-based programs in shaping environmental knowledge and encouraging responsible environmental behaviour. The study further explores how demographic factors, socio-economic conditions, cultural values, and access to environmental information influence individuals' willingness to engage in conservation practices such as waste management, afforestation, water conservation, energy efficiency, and biodiversity protection. Despite growing environmental awareness across different sections of society, several barriers continue to limit active public participation, including inadequate environmental education, limited resources, weak policy implementation, and lack of community engagement opportunities. The findings emphasize that sustainable development can only be achieved through collaborative efforts involving governments, educational institutions, civil society organizations, industries, and local communities. Strengthening environmental literacy, promoting behavioural change, encouraging citizen participation, and integrating sustainability into public policies are essential for building environmentally responsible societies. The study concludes that increasing public awareness, fostering positive environmental attitudes, and enhancing community participation are fundamental pillars for achieving environmental conservation and ensuring sustainable development for present and future generations.

The rapid growth of smart cities has transformed urban governance through the integration of advanced digital technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), facial recognition systems, biometric identification, big data analytics, and intelligent surveillance networks. These technologies enhance public service delivery, urban planning, transportation management, crime prevention, environmental monitoring, and emergency response. However, the increasing deployment of surveillance technologies has raised profound legal and ethical concerns regarding the protection of privacy, personal autonomy, data security, and civil liberties. Continuous collection, storage, processing, and sharing of personal data by public authorities and private entities have created new challenges for existing legal frameworks governing privacy and data protection. Questions relating to informed consent, proportionality, transparency, accountability, algorithmic decision-making, and governmental surveillance have become central to contemporary legal discourse. Jurisdictions across the world have adopted varying regulatory approaches to balance technological innovation with the protection of fundamental rights. International instruments, constitutional guarantees, and data protection laws increasingly recognize privacy as an essential human right requiring effective legal safeguards against arbitrary surveillance. This paper critically examines the legal implications of surveillance technologies within smart city ecosystems through a comparative analysis of international and national legal frameworks. It evaluates the tension between public security and individual privacy, analyzes emerging judicial and legislative developments, and proposes future legal reforms aimed at establishing transparent, accountable, and rights-based governance of surveillance technologies while promoting sustainable, inclusive, and technologically advanced urban development.

Constitutional courts play a pivotal role in safeguarding democratic governance, protecting fundamental rights, and preserving the rule of law during national emergencies. Emergencies arising from armed conflict, terrorism, pandemics, natural disasters, economic crises, or political instability often require governments to exercise extraordinary powers to maintain public order and national security. While such emergency measures may be necessary to protect the state and its citizens, they also create significant risks of executive overreach, erosion of civil liberties, weakening of democratic institutions, and abuse of constitutional authority. Constitutional courts therefore function as essential guardians of constitutionalism by ensuring that emergency actions remain consistent with constitutional principles, proportionality, legality, necessity, and judicial accountability. Modern constitutional jurisprudence demonstrates that constitutional courts have increasingly scrutinized executive emergency powers concerning lockdowns, surveillance, preventive detention, restrictions on freedom of movement, emergency legislation, electoral postponements, and limitations on freedom of expression. Through judicial review, constitutional interpretation, and the enforcement of fundamental rights, these courts balance competing constitutional interests by protecting public safety without undermining democratic governance or constitutional supremacy. Comparative constitutional experiences further illustrate that effective judicial oversight strengthens public confidence in democratic institutions while preventing arbitrary governmental action.This chapter critically examines the constitutional role of courts during national emergencies by exploring the legal foundations of emergency powers, judicial review of executive actions, protection of democratic values and human rights, and emerging challenges associated with contemporary crises. It concludes that constitutional courts remain indispensable institutions for maintaining constitutional balance, preserving democracy, and ensuring that extraordinary governmental powers remain subject to constitutional limitations even in times of national crisis.

Integrated Soil Fertility Management (ISFM) is a comprehensive approach to improving soil fertility by combining organic resources, inorganic fertilizers, improved crop varieties, and appropriate agronomic practices to maximize crop productivity while maintaining long-term soil health. Continuous dependence on chemical fertilizers alone has contributed to soil degradation, nutrient imbalance, declining organic matter, and environmental pollution, making sustainable nutrient management increasingly important. ISFM addresses these challenges by integrating locally available organic amendments such as farmyard manure, compost, crop residues, green manures, and biofertilizers with balanced mineral fertilizer application and sound soil management practices. This integrated approach enhances nutrient availability, improves soil physical, chemical, and biological properties, increases nutrient-use efficiency, and promotes sustainable crop production. Numerous studies have demonstrated that ISFM increases crop yields, improves water-use efficiency, enhances soil organic carbon, stimulates beneficial microbial activity, and reduces nutrient losses through leaching and volatilization. Furthermore, ISFM contributes to climate resilience by improving soil structure, increasing carbon sequestration, and reducing dependence on excessive chemical fertilizer use. Despite its numerous advantages, adoption remains constrained by limited farmer awareness, inadequate access to quality inputs, labor requirements, and financial limitations. This paper examines the principles and components of Integrated Soil Fertility Management, evaluates its influence on soil health, nutrient-use efficiency, and crop productivity, and discusses the challenges and future prospects of its implementation. The study concludes that ISFM is a practical and sustainable strategy for achieving higher agricultural productivity while conserving natural resources and ensuring long-term food security.

Psychological well-being plays an important role in maintaining emotional balance, positive functioning, motivation, and professional efficiency. Workplace spirituality encourages meaningful work, ethical values, inner satisfaction, compassion, and a sense of belongingness in the organization. Job satisfaction reflects the degree to which employees feel content, valued, and motivated in their workplace. This study focuses on understanding how psychological well-being and workplace spirituality influence job satisfaction among doctors, nurses, teachers, lecturers, and other related professionals. A descriptive and analytical research design may be adopted for the study. Data may be collected through standardized questionnaires from selected healthcare and educational institutions. The findings of the study are expected to highlight that professionals with higher psychological well-being and stronger workplace spirituality experience better job satisfaction, improved commitment, reduced stress, and enhanced work performance. The study is significant because both healthcare and educational professionals work in highly responsible and emotionally demanding environments. Their mental well-being and workplace experiences directly affect service quality, patient care, teaching effectiveness, institutional productivity, and overall social development. Thus, the study may provide useful suggestions for improving employee well-being, strengthening positive workplace culture, and enhancing job satisfaction in healthcare and educational organizations.

Organic nutrient management has become an essential component of sustainable fruit production due to increasing concerns regarding soil degradation, environmental pollution, and excessive dependence on synthetic fertilizers. Organic nutrient sources such as farmyard manure, compost, vermicompost, poultry manure, green manure, crop residues, biofertilizers, and oil cakes improve soil fertility while supplying essential macro- and micronutrients required for healthy plant growth. Unlike chemical fertilizers, organic amendments release nutrients gradually through microbial decomposition, thereby enhancing nutrient-use efficiency, reducing nutrient losses, and improving long-term soil productivity. The application of organic nutrient sources enhances soil physical, chemical, and biological properties by increasing soil organic matter, improving water-holding capacity, promoting beneficial microbial activity, and stimulating nutrient cycling. These improvements support better root development, higher photosynthetic efficiency, increased flowering and fruit set, improved fruit size, enhanced yield, and superior fruit quality characteristics such as total soluble solids, sugar content, vitamin concentration, and shelf life. Organic nutrient management also contributes to climate-smart agriculture by increasing soil carbon sequestration, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and promoting environmentally sustainable farming practices. Recent advances in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing (RS), Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence, and precision horticulture have further enhanced nutrient management through site-specific monitoring and decision support. This paper examines various organic nutrient sources, evaluates their effects on growth, yield, and fruit quality, discusses their role in sustainable orchard management, and explores emerging technologies and future prospects for environmentally sustainable fruit production.

Whistleblowers play a crucial role in promoting corporate transparency, accountability, and ethical governance by exposing fraud, corruption, financial misconduct, environmental violations, human rights abuses, and other unlawful activities that may otherwise remain concealed. Effective whistleblower protection laws encourage individuals to report wrongdoing without fear of retaliation, thereby strengthening regulatory compliance, investor confidence, and public trust in corporate institutions. However, despite increasing international recognition of the importance of whistleblower protection, employees and other reporting persons continue to face significant legal, professional, and personal risks, including dismissal, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, and reputational harm. Various international instruments and national legal frameworks, including the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the European Union Whistleblower Protection Directive, the United States Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Dodd-Frank Act, and India's Companies Act, 2013, have established mechanisms to protect whistleblowers and encourage ethical corporate governance. This paper critically examines the legal relationship between whistleblower protection laws and corporate governance by analyzing international legal standards, comparative legislative frameworks, judicial developments, and contemporary corporate compliance practices. It further evaluates the challenges affecting the implementation of whistleblower protection regimes and proposes legal reforms aimed at strengthening reporting mechanisms, enhancing corporate accountability, preventing retaliation, and promoting ethical business conduct. The study concludes that robust whistleblower protection is an indispensable component of modern corporate governance and sustainable business practices in the global economy. The rapid advancement of space technology and the growing participation of private entities in commercial space exploration have transformed outer space from a domain dominated by governments into an increasingly competitive economic frontier. Activities such as satellite deployment, space tourism, asteroid mining, lunar exploration, and interplanetary missions have generated significant legal, ethical, and environmental concerns requiring comprehensive international regulation. Existing international space law, primarily established through the Outer Space Treaty of 1967 and related United Nations conventions, provides foundational principles governing the peaceful use of outer space, state responsibility, liability, and international cooperation. However, emerging commercial activities have exposed legal gaps concerning resource exploitation, environmental protection, space debris, biodiversity concerns, and the welfare of animals used in scientific space missions. Environmental ethics has become particularly relevant as increasing space activities create risks of orbital pollution, planetary contamination, and ecological harm beyond Earth. Similarly, evolving perspectives on animal rights have raised questions regarding the ethical treatment of animals involved in space research and experimentation. This paper critically examines the legal framework governing space activities and commercial space exploration through the perspectives of international space law, environmental ethics, animal welfare principles, and contemporary regulatory developments. It evaluates existing legal instruments, identifies emerging challenges, and proposes reforms aimed at ensuring sustainable, responsible, and ethically informed exploration of outer space while balancing scientific innovation, commercial interests, environmental protection, and the welfare of living beings.
